History/Personality: History As the Brave of water Rokuro's personality is incredibly reflective of his element. At times he is calm and cool, like a placid lake. The picture of tranquil grace. Beautiful, soft-spoken, and subservient, he is the perfect page. He listens when his master talks, serves him without complaint, and holds him higher than any god. Few lords are in possession of such loyalty, which goes far beyond simple servitude. Rokuro gouged his right eye out for his master without complaint, and would die for him in the same silence.

However, such devotion does come at a price. Being entirely selfless, Rokuro lacks a sense of self. He was born to serve his master, and has dedicated his entire life to the happiness and fulfilment of another. He has no goals of his own. No dreams. The only future he imagines for himself is beside his master, wherever his master may be, and whatever he does. His love for his master far outweighs his love for himself, his will to live, and anything else that the world might have to offer. When his eye, and the Sanada family archive is lost, he considers himself a complete failure and no longer worthy of his position by Yukimura Sanada's side, resigning himself to what could only be a dishonorable death at his own hand.

Outside of his role, he is nobody and nothing. An empty vessel devoid of purpose.

Or so Rokuro allows himself to believe.

The truth is, he does have a personality beyond 'servant'. He is far more ocean than lake. Wild and deep with an incredibly powerful undercurrent. Any other page wouldn't be able to tolerate a man like Yukimura Sanada, never mind thrive by his side. He is submissive to his master, but by choice. Rokuro isn't without a backbone. When it comes to his master he can be bossy, possessive, and demanding. Since he is 100% loyal, it means he won't allow acts he feels are harmful to his master's person or reputation, and isn't afraid to nag/screech/slap away whatever drug/hooker/bad decision Yukimura has insisted on making. With his depthless devotion comes jealousy, and a certain amount of ownership over his lord and the castle. It's as much his as it is Yukimura's. He has the run of the house, even moreso than his laid-back lord, and demands perfection from everyone around him as much as he does himself. He has quite the temper, and when really pushed past his limits will scream people out of his sight.

As cliche as it sounds 'still waters running deep' is the perfect description of who he is as a person, both servant and man. It's very easy to overlook Rokuro with his pretty face, soft voice, and fierce thighs elegant demeanor, but that's half of how he serves his master so well. A hidden sword is more useful than an open blade.

Would you consider your character to be heroic? Why or why not?: Rokuro isn't so much a hero as a sheath to the hero's sword. He's a competent warrior, and was the very first of Yukimura's braves, but he's a page, not a ninja. His sole purpose in life is to serve his lord until the day he dies, regardless of Yukimura's goals and intentions. If Yukimura had decided on a darker, more destructive path in life, Rokuro would have been right there beside him. Supporting him in every way. He is only a hero because his master has chosen to live his life as such.

Here, without Yukimura Sanada, will be first the true test of Rokuro's values outside of his master's influence.

Powers/Abilities: Rokuro is the brave of water, but his interpretation of the element is... very unique. Before he gouged his right eye (the Suimon eye) out for the Greater Good he was able to 'reflect' information, stealing words off the paper or straight from the memories of other people, and store it within his eye for safe-keeping and later use. This power was a closely guarded secret for most of his life, hidden behind bandages since childhood except when sleeping, or in use.

The primary ability 'replacing' his Suimon eye is again, loosely water related, but this time on a far more dangerous level. The Shingyoku Soug-Yokuzui is an heirloom gem of the Unno clan, given to the bearer of the Suimon eye in recognition of their status. After Rokuro lost the Suimon eye, once the remains of the previous eye were removed and the socket healed it was replaced with the Soug-Yokuzui to interesting/terrifying effect. As its heir he was given access to its power over the water element... in this case, it translates to blood within his opponent's body. He can make them lightheaded, cause body parts to seize and swell, and more dangerously... make their heart or brain explode by directing too much blood to those areas. He can supposedly also sense the movement of his opponent as it happens due to his awareness of their moving blood. All in all, it's a very powerful relic.

His secondary ability is seemingly 100% unrelated to water, but we'll ignore that because the creator did. The super-sonic scream is Rokuro's most commonly used, and dangerous, offensive skill. He's loud. Loud enough to burst eardrums, rupture blood vessels, and overall cause great pain and discomfort to anyone who isn't already deaf. When his daggers are held to his mouth he's able to direct and amplify that sound to an even more destructive extent, and cause damage to the environment around him, similar to a shock-wave.

On a more base level, he is an incredibly skilled fighter, fast on his feet and capable of holding his own in hand to hand combat. While he's nowhere near the strongest of the Braves, his agility and flexibility make him a difficult target to both hit and evade.

As a page, his skill in tea-making and personal 'service' is supposedly unrivalled. Once you've had a cup of Rokuro's famous matcha, anything else is just hot leaf juice. He's also rumoured to be a wonderful fan-dancer and his beauty is renowned throughout the realm. Whether his master dressed him for the sole purpose of being distracting or Rokuro simply likes to let things 'breathe', the badonka-donk is real.
